Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam‘s courtroom drama Haq has shown a big growth at the Box Office on over weekend, but the movie did not even witness a roaring start to begin with. The film has now earned Rs. 10 crore, which is far from what could make this film a hit.
Haq, which might have been a huge hit on OTT, is currently taking a hit in theatres much like most other movies that struggle under the pressure of keeping up with big franchise films. Things do not look up for Emraan and Yami’s film either.
Haq minted Rs. 4.19 crore at the Box Office on day 3 following 3.79 crore net on day 2. The movie witnessed a good growth from day 1 Box Office collection of Rs. 2.03 crore. In total, Haq earned Rs. 10.01 crore net within three days of its release.

Going by the current trend, Haq might barely make it to Rs. 18 -20 crore by the first week. The movie did earn praises from critics and viewers alike, but it is content that most would rather wait for on OTT than spend for a theatrical visit. Haq, which comes from the world of Manoj Bajpayee’s Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, appears to suffer from the very fate.
Haq, reported to be made on a budget of Rs. 45 crore, is unlikely to cross the number during its theatrical run given the current trend. In case the movie witnessed a good opening, it could still come close to being a hit, but the slow opening has almost ensured that Haq does an average business at the Box Office, if not ending up as another flop featuring Emraan Hashmi.
