Shah Rukh Khan’s Character In Brahmastra Has A Surprising Connection With Ashutosh Gowarikar Directorial Swades. Details Inside!

In Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Swades released in 2004, SRK played the character of the same name who was a NASA employee.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra released yesterday, making fans want to watch it after seeing numerous teasers. It has received immense praise from moviegoers, especially on VFX and Shah Rukh’s cameo appearance in a large dark room.

King Khan has come back to the big screen after four years and he was seen in R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect which had his cameo appearance. It has been discovered that Shah Rukh’s character in Brahmastra—named as Mohan Bhargav—has a Swades connection. In the film, he plays the role of a Scientist and Brahmanch secret community’s member with extraordinary power. While showcasing the power of his Vanar Astra, Bhargav later succumbs to the attack.

“It’s interesting that Shah Rukh Khan in Brahmastra is named Mohan Bhargav. He is usually known for playing Rahul and Raj but Mohan Bhargav was also a memorable character. Hence, the moment his full name is uttered in the film, it instantly rings a bell in the minds of the viewers,” an industry expert told Bollywood Hungama.

In Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Swades released in 2004, SRK played the character of the same name who was a NASA employee. He had said, “Yeh jo Des hai mera Swades hai mera… Can’t thanks Ashutosh enough for such a lovely film. Whole cast/crew had such faith in goodness and Indianness.”

The expert added, “So many videos have surfaced on the internet, showing viewers clapping and hooting during his scenes. Imagine what will happen when he’ll be seen in a full-fledged role in Pathaan! Be it the youth or the older generation, he has a following among every section of the audience. And the way they have reacted to his cameo in Brahmastra should give him the much-needed relief and hope for a rocking 2023.”

When it comes to Shah Rukh’s cameo appearances, he will next be seen in Pathaan (releases on January 25, 2023), Jawan (arrives in theatres on June 2, 2023), and Dunki (releases on December 22, 2023).
