Ahan Shetty has officially wrapped his schedule for the highly anticipated war drama Border 2, currently being filmed across multiple locations in India. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, the actor reflected on his last day on set in Amritsar and the special bond he developed with co-star Varun Dhawan, fondly referred to as “VD” in the caption.
“From the very first day on set, VD made me feel at home. No ego, no airs, just pure warmth. He guided me, checked in on me without being asked, and supported me in a way only an older brother would,” Ahan wrote.
He went on to describe Varun as one of the biggest stars in the country, yet someone who remains grounded and generous. “It’s the kindness, the humility, and the heart he brings that truly sets him apart. This experience has changed me and a big part of that is because of him,” Ahan added. The post ended with Ahan expressing gratitude and teasing the next schedule as “a big one.”
Varun Dhawan replied to the post, writing, “Brother will misss u here only upwards and beyond for u meraaa bhai.”
Border 2: A tribute to India’s soldiers
Directed by Kesari and Punjab 1984 filmmaker Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a spiritual successor to the 1997 classic Border, which remains one of Indian cinema’s most iconic war films. The new film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and presented by T-Series in association with J.P. Films.
Border 2 aims to carry forward the legacy of honouring India’s armed forces, blending intense battle sequences with emotional depth. The story is set against the backdrop of true incidents and is expected to be a large-scale patriotic saga.
