Superman Box Office Collection Day 9: James Gunn Film Jumped By 80% On 2nd Saturday, Set To Cross 43 Crore After 2nd Weekend Today

The James Gunn-directed Superman led by David Corenswet has taken a decent start at the box office in India and managing decent numbers over 2nd weekend.

Superman Jumps Over 2nd Weekend

Superman collected 1.75 crore net on 2nd Friday which is a good number considering Saiyaara fever has gripped the nation. Film jumped by 80% on 2nd Friday and collected 3 crore net.

Film has total of 40.33 crore net in 9 days and its heading for 50 crore total. From here, Superman will be looking to hit minimum Rs 50 crore lifetime total which is decent but not excellent.

Expectedly so, the film is doing well in the premium formats like IMAX and 4DX, and the best business is coming in from the urban markets.

Superman Collects Good 35.58 Crore In 1st Week

The DC-produced superhero saga is collected Rs 7.23 crore on Friday. With this, Superman has secured the third-best start for a Hollywood film in India after the Tom Cruise-led Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning and the Scarlett Johansson starrer Jurassic World: Rebirth.

Film grew by 40 – 45 % on day two and collected 9.99 crore on day two. Film dropped a bit on Sunday and collected 9.39 crore net. 

Film has 3 day total of 26.61 crore net weekend and 32 crore gross. Film remained steady on weekdays and collected 8.97 crore net.

Film has 1st week total of 35.58 crore net and it’s a good platform for the film.

Day 3: 9.39 cr

Day 4: 2.36 cr

Day 5: 2.79 cr

Day 6: 2.01 cr

Day 7: 1.81 cr

1st Week Total: 35.58 crore net (42 crore gross) 

2nd Week:

Day 8: 1.75 cr

Day 9: 3 cr

Total: 40.33 crore net

Superman Takes Solid Start Worldwide 

Warner Bros/DC Studios‘ Superman is looking at a great $55M first day, including all those $22.5M previews. This puts the James Gunn directed movie on course as of this minute for a $115M+3-day.

With David Corenswet in the titular role of Superman, the ensemble cast features Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, and Edi Gathegi in pivotal roles.
