Unlike other films, Warner Bros. did not move “Tenet,” from its original release date i.e. July 17. According to the information the National Association of Theatre Owners, which represents movie theaters across the US, is expecting 90% of the global theatrical marketplace to be open by then.
While other films have pushed ahead, Tenet was the only big-budget Hollywood movie stick with its original date as theaters throughout the world closed because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Christopher Nolan was quoted as saying, “We’re finishing the film, and the film will be ready for when theaters reopen. I think, at this stage, that is all there is to say about it, really.”
Along with John David Washington the film also stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine (a Nolan mainstay), Kenneth Branagh and Dimple Kapadia.
