Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam The Conclusion Storms Past Rs 50 Crore On Day 2 With A Blockbuster Hold

Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar is off to a roaring start again. Drishyam The Conclusion has held exceptionally well on its second day in theatres, adding more than Rs 50 crore nett and underlining the kind of audience pull only an event thriller can command. After opening big on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2, 2026, the film stayed rock solid on Saturday, with late evening and night shows driving momentum across key markets.

Day 2 Hold Keeps The Film Flying

The second-day trend points to a collection in the Rs 52 crore to Rs 53 crore nett range, taking the film’s two-day total to roughly Rs 113 crore nett. That is a superb hold for a film that had already posted a massive opening day. The drop from Friday is estimated at just around 15 per cent, which is a strong result for a major commercial thriller carrying holiday-fuelled numbers into its second day.

The film has performed best in urban centres, with Maharashtra and Karnataka leading the charge. Maharashtra has shown only a marginal dip, while Karnataka has actually pushed higher. Northern and Central Indian circuits have seen a comparatively bigger decline from the holiday start, but the overall trend remains firmly in blockbuster territory. If Sunday rises again and gets close to the opening-day business, the opening weekend could finish around Rs 175 crore nett.

The Franchise Returns With Familiar Faces And New Firepower

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam The Conclusion is the latest chapter in the Hindi adaptation of the hugely popular crime thriller saga. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta also reprising key roles. The new film also adds Jaideep Ahlawat, giving the franchise a fresh dramatic edge at a stage when audience interest was already sky high.

The film is a crime drama mystery and continues the story of a man who has repeatedly stayed one step ahead while trying to protect his family. That emotional survival streak, paired with the franchise’s suspense-heavy writing, has once again translated into strong footfalls.
