After Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt Confirmed as Presenter for BAFTA 2026 Ceremony in London

Alia Bhatt has been confirmed as one of the presenters at the 79th British Academy Film Awards, set for February 22, 2026, in London. The development places Bhatt among a high-profile roster of international names tapped to appear on stage at one of the film calendar’s most closely watched ceremonies, following Deepika Padukone’s earlier presence at the BAFTAs.

The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre. BAFTA has also confirmed that Scottish actor and host Alan Cumming will helm the show. In the UK, the ceremony will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer, while audiences in North America will be able to watch it on E!.

Bhatt’s inclusion signals a growing Indian representation at major global film events, with the actor now set to participate in the on-stage proceedings as a presenter rather than as an attendee.
