Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 Drops Ve Junoon, Introducing Subodhh Sharma In Mithoon And Sayeed Quadri Reunion

Pain, longing and a striking new voice arrive together in Ve Junoon, the first song from Awarapan 2. Released by Vishesh Films and Sony Music India, the track does more than launch the film’s music campaign. It introduces Subodhh Sharma, a sound engineer for over 12 years whose voice now becomes the emotional centrepiece of Emraan Hashmi’s return to one of his most remembered screen worlds.

That choice gives the song an added edge. A week after the Awarapan 2 teaser drew strong audience response and climbed to the No. 1 spot on YouTube, the makers have followed it up with a track built on heartbreak, vulnerability and the aching emotional texture that shaped the original Awarapan.

Ve Junoon Brings Back The Emotional Pulse Of Awarapan

According to the official announcement, Ve Junoon captures Shivam Pandit “confronting his deepest fears and wondering if love was ever a door he was meant to walk through.” The song has been composed by Mithoon, written by Sayeed Quadri, and sung by Subodhh Sharma, bringing together a creative combination closely tied to the emotional memory of the franchise.

Sharma’s entry into the film is one of the release’s most interesting details. Vishesh Bhatt discovered him after coming across an Instagram reel featuring his vocals, and that moment led to both Bhatt and Mithoon choosing him to carry Shivam’s inner turmoil on screen.

Composer Mithoon said, “Creating the music for Awarapan 2 stems from a very special creative chemistry we share. Vishesh creates a deeply emotional world, and Quadri Sahab has this rare ability to turn the most complex emotions into words that feel simple and personal. With ‘Ve Junoon’, we knew the voice had to carry pain and vulnerability, but also a certain strength. When we heard Subodhh, there was an honesty in his voice that connected immediately with the emotion of the song. For me, that instinctive connection was all that mattered.”

Producer Vishesh Bhatt said: “The music of Awarapan is the emotional memory of an entire generation. To create this magic for Awarapan 2, we needed the musical instinct of Mithoon and the poetic authority of Sayeed Quadri. Ve Junoon is the result of that brilliance, elevated by Subodhh’s voice. He carries something rare and raw that no amount of experience can teach. You either have it or you don’t. And he does.”

Awarapan 2 Expands Shivam Pandit’S World With A New Ensemble

Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar, written by Bilal Siddiqi and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, with Mukesh Bhatt presenting the film under the Vishesh Films banner. The cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar and Aniruddh Rawal. The film will release in cinemas worldwide on 14 August 2026.

The sequel returns to the emotional universe of Shivam Pandit, the character Emraan Hashmi played in the 2007 original. With Ve Junoon arriving so early in the campaign, the makers appear to be signalling that music and mood will once again be central to how this story is sold and remembered.

Why Awarapan 2 Matters In Emraan Hashmi’S Current Screen Chapter

For Emraan Hashmi, Awarapan 2 feels less like a routine follow-up and more like a defining return to a space audiences strongly associate with him. After Tiger 3 in 2023, a special appearance in Ae Watan Mere Watan in 2024, and Ground Zero in 2025, this sequel stands out because it reconnects him with a character and emotional tonality that helped shape his enduring screen image.

That is what gives Awarapan 2 extra weight within his current slate. Among his confirmed forthcoming Hindi theatrical releases, this is the project that most directly taps into audience memory while trying to build a new chapter around it, and Ve Junoon makes it clear that the film is leaning into feeling first.
