The legal tussle around Kala Hiran has moved from paperwork to public spectacle. Producer Amit Jani, whose film is based on the blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan, released a video statement on Thursday in which he tore up the legal notice sent by the actor’s team.
The film has been in the spotlight since its first poster was unveiled last month. Positioned as a courtroom drama and crime thriller, Kala Hiran also depicts the rivalry between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi in a cinematic format.
Amit Jani Tears Up The Legal Notice
In the video statement, Amit Jani was seen tearing the notice and saying, “Jawab De Diya, Bhejo Jise Bhejna Hai.” He also said he had been receiving death threats since the announcement of Kala Hiran and maintained that he was not scared of anyone.
Jani criticised the move to take the matter to court and called Salman Khan’s fans “badtameez and chapri”. The video has now intensified what began as a legal objection to the film’s announcement, giving the dispute a far more public and confrontational turn.
This is not the first time Jani has responded to the notice. In an earlier Facebook post written in Hindi, he said, “The intent of these notices is to instill fear so that people yield to his influence. It’s his tendency to intimidate. I, however, do not easily succumb to intimidation. He may think I’m finished. Let him know I’m very much here.”
What Salman Khan’S Legal Notice Says
Salman Khan’s legal notice demanded an immediate halt to the development and promotion of Kala Hiran. The notice alleges that the film is inspired by the actor’s blackbuck hunting case and argues that the project could harm his reputation, interfere with ongoing judicial proceedings, and violate his personality rights.
The notice also states that the blackbuck case is still pending before the Rajasthan High Court. It contends that any film based on the matter may interfere with the administration of justice and create prejudice against Khan, affecting his right to a fair trial.
For now, the makers have shown no sign of backing away from Kala Hiran. With Jani’s latest video statement, the film has become one of the most closely watched Bollywood controversies of the week.
