On April 10, the trailer for Salman Khan’s “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” was released, and what drew widespread attention was the absence of writer credits in the end credit slate.
“The story of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been written by Sajid Nadiadwala, and Salman has avoided the mention in the trailer slate to avoid any sort of conflict prior to the release,” Bollywood Hungama quoted its source as saying.
‘While the basic plot has been tweaked by Sajid Nadiadwala, the real writer of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is Salman Khan. It’s a film close to his heart and hence, every dialogue and every scene has been written under the supervision of Salman Khan. In-fact, some of the dialogues in the films are straight out of Bhai’s mind,” its source added.
Although Salman is not particularly eager to take credit for writing Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, he is known to involve himself in the writing process for all his films. However, for this particular film, his involvement in the writing is more than usual. Salman believes that as an actor, it is his duty to contribute to the film in every possible way and does not prioritize taking credit for his contributions.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, featuring Salman Khan in the lead role, is all set for an Eid 2023 release. This film marks his return to the big screen after a hiatus of four years and also features Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, and Venkatesh in pivotal roles. The advance booking for the film will commence on Monday, April 17.
It was earlier reported to be named Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and then Bhaijaan. The film’s official title was decided as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan later in August, 2022. The process of filming is Hyderabad, whereas its principal photography started in May last year.
