Amid the news of the postponement of The Sabarmati Report, there is another fresh update on the film. It’s being said that the cast will reshoot certain sequences.
Well, May turned out to be a promising month for cinema exhibitors, thanks to the success of Srikanth, starring Rajkummar Rao. This film, one of the few big releases of the month, performed exceptionally well in theatres and established its director, Tushar Hiranandani, as a talent to watch.
Now, it appears that Tushar has already moved on to his next project. According to sources, he is currently reshooting certain portions of The Sabarmati Report, which stars Vikrant Massey.
The Sabarmati Report Makers To Reshoot Some Scenes Due To THIS Reason?
Sources told Bollywood Hungama that the reshoots are not extensive. The producers felt that some scenes could be improved, so they decided to bring in Tushar Hiranandani for the job. The actors, including Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra, readily agreed to the reshoots.
Back in April 2024, it was reported that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had concerns about some scenes in the film.
They feared these scenes might offend certain audiences and possibly violate the model code of conduct during the Lok Sabha Elections. As a result, the release of The Sabarmati Report, initially slated for May 3, was postponed.
About The Movie
The film, directed by Ranjan Chandel and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, is a political thriller.
