My love of watching Malayalam films has recently developed and trust me on this, they never fail to impress you when it comes to good content and exceptional performances. My interest got a little more into Malayalam films when I first saw Bangalore Days. I know I am late into this but then I did not let good things let go of my hand so I continued and finished watching films including C u Soon, Charlie, Premam, Ustad Hote and many more in less than a week.

The movie is a Romance/Drama based on a photographer who tries to solve an issue and gets beaten up by a stranger. He decides to take revenge on him as he feels insulted and ends up falling in love with his sister. And the story goes on. The unique filmmaking and a neat performance by the cast is on point. The movie is directed by Dileesh Pothan and has won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.

Joji is a crime/drama based on an engineering student who drops out of college. He belongs to a rich family and is also the younger ones. He is driven by greed and blind ambition which makes him do something unexpected at a family event. The performance of the cast in the film is top-notch. Joji is directed by Dileesh Pothan and is available on Amazon Prime.
Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (IMDb Rating: 8.2)

The film redefines the concept of right and wrong. The plot of the movie revolves around a newlywed couple who are trying very hard to cope up with their financial crisis. The movie is as simple and as complex as you want it to be. The film is again directed by Dileesh Pothan and has won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
Kumbalangi Nights (IMDb Rating: 8.6)

Kumbalangi is an endearing tale of love and relationships. The film is about Saji, Bonny, Bobby and Franky who are siblings who do not get along. However, some tragedy happens which forces them to keep their egoistic side aside and support each other. It is directed by Madhu C. Narayanan.
Drishyam 2 (IMDb Rating: 8.7)

The movie is about a man who lives happily with his wife and daughters. However, things take an ugly turn when his family commits an accidental crime, leaving him to keep it as a secret and protecting them. The movie is probably the best suspense thriller so far. The film was directed by Jeetu Joseph.
