Salman Khan’s next big-screen outing is fast turning into one of the season’s most stacked casting lineups. We were first to break that Nayanthara joined Salman Khan in Dil Raju production film and then we also revealed that Anil Kapoor has also joined the film. Now here is another exclusive from us.
After Nayanthara and Anil Kapoor came on board, Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Arvind Swamy has now joined Salman Khan’s film with director Vamshi Paidipally, backed by producer Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
That alone is enough to get the trade talking. Salman joining hands with Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally for the first time, with Dil Raju backing the film on a large scale, already gave the project event-film heat. Arvind Swamy’s addition sharpens that promise further, bringing in an actor whose presence instantly adds gravitas, polish, and cross-industry appeal.
Arvind Swamy Adds Further Weight To The Ensemble
This casting move makes it even clearer that the makers are assembling a premium ensemble around Salman rather than relying on a straightforward star-led action format. While Arvind Swamy’s role is still under wraps, his arrival after Nayanthara and Anil Kapoor points to a film that wants commanding performers in every major corner of the narrative.
The collaboration itself was officially confirmed by Salman Khan on March 30, 2026. Sharing a picture with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju, the actor announced that the film would begin this April. That post ended months of speculation and shifted attention to who would round out the cast. With Arvind Swamy now in the mix, the project looks increasingly designed for a broad theatrical play across Hindi and southern markets.
A High Stakes Salman Khan Project Starts Taking Shape
The untitled film is being produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations and marks a significant Hindi project for Vamshi Paidipally after Varisu, which was released in 2023. The makers have not yet announced the title, full story details, or release date, but the film is confirmed to start shooting in mid April 2026.
Salman Khan remains the central face of the project, while Nayanthara, Anil Kapoor, and Arvind Swamy give the cast a distinctly big-ticket character. For a film still holding back its narrative cards, the lineup alone has already created serious curiosity within the industry.
That also explains why Arvind Swamy’s casting carries more significance than a routine addition. He has been in a phase where his selective choices have consistently reinforced his value as a performer who can elevate mainstream material without overplaying it.
Why Arvind Swamy Brings More Than Star Value
Arvind Swamy was last seen in the theatrical release Meiyazhagan in 2024, directed by C. Prem Kumar and co-starring Karthi. The Tamil drama earned strong critical appreciation, with Arvind Swamy’s performance drawing particular praise. The film later streamed on Netflix, extending its reach beyond theatres.
Before that, he appeared in Custody in 2023, the bilingual action drama directed by Venkat Prabhu and headlined by Naga Chaitanya. He was also heard as the narrator in Kanguva, which was released in 2024. Looking ahead, Arvind Swamy is confirmed to appear in Anupam Kher’s directorial Tanvi The Great. His entry into Salman Khan’s Vamshi Paidipally film, at a time when he is balancing prestige and mainstream visibility, makes this casting development especially interesting.
