EXCLUSIVE Badass Ravikumar Movie Review: A Must Watch Masala Entertainer For Sheer Commitment To Being The Most Himesh Thing Ever!

Himesh Reshammiya is back on the big screen after five years with his 10th Bollywood film Badass Ravi Kumar. The 51-year-old actor last appeared in Happy Hardy and Heer (2020). Now, he is grabbing attention at the box office with this action-comedy.

Badass Ravikumar: Plot

In Badass Ravikumar, Himesh Reshammiya reprises his role as Ravi Kumar from the 2014 film The Xposé, this time as the central character in an action-packed musical extravaganza. The narrative centers on Ravi Kumar confronting a league of ten formidable villains, each more outlandish than the last.

Among them is the flamboyant antagonist Carlos Pedro Panther, portrayed by Prabhu Deva. The film promises a blend of high-octane action sequences, dramatic confrontations, and musical interludes, all delivered with a self-aware, tongue-in-cheek flair that embraces its own absurdity.

Badass Ravikumar: Performances

In Badass Ravikumar, the ensemble cast embraces the film’s over-the-top nature with gusto:

• Himesh Reshammiya as Ravi Kumar: Reshammiya doesn’t just play Ravi Kumar; he is Ravi Kumar. His portrayal is a masterclass in delivering punchlines with a straight face, making you wonder if he’s in on the joke or the mastermind behind it.

• Prabhu Deva as Carlos Pedro Panther: As the antagonist with a name as elaborate as his dance moves, Prabhu Deva brings a flair to the role that’s part villain, part choreographer. His confrontations with Ravi Kumar often feel like they’re one beat away from breaking into a dance-off.

• Kirti Kulhari as Laila: Playing the enigmatic Laila, Kulhari manages to keep a straight face amidst the chaos, adding a touch of gravitas to the otherwise madcap proceedings. Her chemistry with Reshammiya is akin to a seasoned actor sharing the stage with an enthusiastic meme generator.

• Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra: These veteran comedians infuse the film with their trademark humor, often reacting to the absurdity around them in ways that mirror the audience’s own disbelief.

• Sunny Leone as Nisha (Cameo): In a brief appearance, Leone adds to the film’s star-studded allure, leaving an impression that’s as impactful as it is fleeting.

Each actor contributes to the film’s self-aware, meme-worthy charm, creating a cinematic experience that’s as entertaining as it is bewildering.

Badass Ravikumar: Analysis

This is not a film—it’s an event. A fever dream. A meme factory that Bollywood didn’t know it needed. The action sequences defy the laws of nature, and the dialogues are designed to be quoted by WhatsApp uncles for years.

The film is self-aware, and that’s what makes it glorious. It leans so hard into its own ridiculousness that you can’t help but enjoy it. You don’t watch Badass Ravikumar for realism. You watch it for the sheer audacity of a man dodging bullets with the power of attitude. The soundtrack? Pure Himesh. The kind that makes you want to wear sunglasses indoors and point dramatically at random people.

Does it make sense? No.
Is it cinematic genius? Also no.
Is it art? Absolutely.

Badass Ravikumar: Verdict

If you walk into Badass Ravikumar expecting logic, storytelling, or subtlety, you’re in the wrong theater. But if you want unapologetic masala, unhinged action, and dialogues so iconic they deserve their own fanbase, this film is an instant cult classic.

Himesh Reshammiya set out to make a film that would break the internet, and he succeeded. Badass Ravikumar isn’t just a movie—it’s a lifestyle.
