The film had below-par growth on Saturday considering it was the national holiday of Christmas. The film collected 16.25 cr nett with 35% growth but it needed a minimum of 60% growth.
The film needs to score all over to fulfill expectations of huge biz but it also faces stiff competition from Spider-Man and Pushpa as both the films are rock-solid in 2nd week also at the box office.
The distributors have not only asked for 100% show sharing for 2 weeks but also demanded 70% revenue share from single screens in Week 1.
Kabir Khan directed film revolves around India’s historic 1983 World Cup win. In this film, Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev.
The cricketers had become household names, and the rooting and hoping for the ‘Men in White’ as they faced off against the famous West Indian cricket team in the finals.
According to a reputable source, Reliance Entertainment paid the winning team around Rs. 15 crore, with approximately Rs. 5 crore going to cricket star Kapil Dev himself.
