Ranveer Singh Starrer’s much-awaited film 83 was released on Christmas. The film opened to glowing reviews and the craze was unprecedented considering the subject of the film. But the film turned out to be a massive disappointment because, except urban pockets, the film failed to excite smaller centers. The film collected only 72 cr nett in 1st week which should have been its weekend business in an ideal case.

But due to new Covid restrictions Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey postponed and that has given an open week to 83 with the added advantage of the New year holiday.
The film collected 4.36 cr nett on the 2nd Friday. The film jumped on 1st January and collected 7.90 cr nett. The film managed 7.31 cr nett on Sunday. On Monday, the film managed to collect 2.01 cr nett at the box office, whereas on Tuesday the film collected 1.52 cr nett.

The film has a total of 94.80 cr nett in 12 days. Now the film is almost certain to cross 100 cr nett by end of its run due to open 2nd week but still, it will be below-par performance.
