Ranveer Singh, the Bollywood actor, recently shared a couple of selfies with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian cricket team captain, on his Instagram feed. The two celebrities have been associated with each other for a while now. Both Ranveer and Dhoni often spend time together. Last year, the two were seen playing football. Although the reason behind their meeting is not known, as per reports, the cricketer has been roped in as Meesho’s brand ambassador. Both Ranveer and Ram are the face of the online clothing brand and Ramcharan had also met the cricketer quite recently.
Ranveer Singh shares picture with ‘big brother’ MS Dhoni
In one of the pictures, Ranveer is seen giving Dhoni a kiss on the cheek. The actor referred to Dhoni as his “big brother” and showered him with love.
In the caption, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor called Dhoni a “legend” and a “big brother.” He wrote: “Mera Mahi (red heart emoji and infinite bond emoji) @mahi7781 #hero #icon #legend #goat #bigbrother”
Ranveer’s Instagram post has gone viral on social media platforms, with fans and followers of both celebrities sharing their excitement and admiration for the duo. The post has also sparked rumors about Dhoni’s possible involvement with Meesho as a brand ambassador.

This is not the first time that Ranveer has expressed his admiration for Dhoni. In an earlier interview, the actor had revealed that he was a huge fan of the cricketer and had even tried to emulate his hairstyle in the past. Ranveer also had a tryst with cricket as he portrayed the role of Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s 2021 sports drama film 83 which was based on India’s victory at the 1983 World Cup.
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020, is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest cricketing legends. He led India to victory in several high-profile tournaments, including the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.

He will be next seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 where he has replaced the titular role with Shah Rukh Khan. This news of starring Ranveer Singh didn’t go well with the fans of Shah Rukh Khan who were waiting to see their favorite star in the third installment after so many years. However, there is a section of the audience that has welcomed this change and feels it was the need of the hour.
