The film would have marked the second collaboration between the actor and the director after their 2015 hit “Badlapur”.
The film is said to be a biopic on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, India’s highest military honour for valour in face of the enemy. He was slain in action during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. He also mentioned that the film is being shot on a huge scale and has been allotted a big budget. Not just this, Akshaye also informed that the film will be approximately releasing in 2023.
The project was suspected to start rolling from 2022 onwards but now we have learned that the film has been put on hold for now because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP bought the rights and has been planning to mount the project on a large scale by 2022. But despite changing hands, the film is still in limbo. Apparently, now even Varun Dhawan has turned down the film.
