Jailer, the latest action thriller starring superstar Rajinikanth, has emerged as the third highest grossing film in the history of Kollywood, overtaking Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 yesterday.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 has earned a total of 173 crores nett in India, which equals 204.14 crores gross. Another 121 croresgross are coming from overseas market. On the whole, the worldwide collection stands at 325.14 crores gross. At the current pace, the film might struggle to hit the 350 crore mark
The movie directed by Mani Ratnam has been widely distributed amid much enthusiasm and anticipation. The second instalment of the epic two-part historical saga is anticipated to do well at the box office, even though the first movie went on to gross more than Rs 500 crore worldwide
P.S. 2, the second part of the two-part historical saga Ponniyin Selvan, has been released in more than 3200 screens worldwide. The movie has reportedly made a pre-sales collection of Rs 11 crore worldwide.
The much-awaited Tamil film P.S. 2, which is the concluding part of the film adaptation of the classic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan, is set to release on April 28, 2023. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, R. Parthiban, and Lal.
The trailer of Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been released. It was launched at a mega event in Chennai on Wednesday which was also attended by actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan among others.
The sequel to PS 1 could be reportedly released a week later of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s release, making it a dent for Salman Khan starrer considering its Box-office performance and the success it received for the overall performance.
