Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, and Shehnaaz Gill play in the key roles of Honsla Rakh. Shinda Grewal, Gippy Grewal’s son also stars in the film.
Honsla Rakh has not only performed well in India, but also overseas, where the weekend box office may probably be in the $1.1-$1.2 million level, implying a worldwide gross of around Rs. 17-18 crore.
Honsla Rakh is Diljit Dosanjh’s first film as a producer, directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. Under his Story Time Productions banner, he is supporting the picture. Rakesh Dhawan wrote the screenplay.
The film’s goal will be to surpass Shadaa’s 2.43 crore nett opening in India, which is the highest for a Punjabi film.
The film earned close to 5 crores in its opening weekend, which is fine for a regional film with audiences largely in Punjab and parts of the Delhi NCR.
Whatever the causes, the box office success of the three Punjabi films has re-instilled trade confidence in the box office following the lockout.
Puaada produced by Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill, directed by debutante Rupinder Chahal, released worldwide on 12th August.
In the past, Ammy Virk’s hits have brought in Rs1 crore at the box office in east Punjab.
Puaada has grossed 1.25 crore and is screening to packed houses all over the world, which is a fantastic start for the film.
The premise revolves around Jaggi’s ability to win over his prospective in-laws and prove his worthiness, with humour intertwined throughout.
Puaada’s producers, Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill, and Balwinder Singh Janjua, persuaded Zee to keep the release on hold for a while.
Now that the movie has been released in Punjab, cinemas have seen encouraging collections, despite the fact that the film introduces a newcomer to the industry.
