EXCLUSIVE: Honsla Rakh maintains its strong run at the Box Office

Honsla Rakh's robust business continued on Tuesday, with collections in the same range as Monday, at roughly 1.30 crore nett.

Honsla Rakh had a fantastic first three days, grossing about 7.7 crore nett, easily the biggest post pandemic weekend for a Punjabi film and the third highest weekend ever for a Punjabi film. This comes with restrictions, and if they weren’t, you could add another 1 crore nett to the film for the weekend, putting it up against the largest openers of all time, Shadaa and Carry On Jatta 2.

Honsla Rakh’s robust business continued on Tuesday, with collections in the same range as Monday, at roughly 1.30 crore nett. This brings the film’s five-day total to above 10 crore nett.

Over the next two days, the collection will most likely decrease much further, with the week’s total likely to be about 12.25 crore nett. Then it’ll be all about the second Friday and seeing where it falls to see whether it can reach the 20 crore nett milestone.

On Monday, Overseas collections were also extremely good, reaching $1.35 million in just four days. The film’s first-week worldwide gross is expected to be approximately 30 crore.

Break up:

Day 1, Friday: 2.55 cr nett
Day 2, Saturday: 2.30 cr nett
Day 3, Sunday: 2.80 cr nett
Day 4, Monday: 1.37 cr nett
Day 5, Tuesday: 1.28 cr nett

Total: 10.30 cr nett

Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, and Shehnaaz Gill play in the key roles of Honsla Rakh. Shinda Grewal, Gippy Grewal’s son also stars in the film. They shot the film early this year in Canada. Honsla Rakh is Diljit Dosanjh’s first film as a producer, directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. Under his Story Time Productions banner, he is producing the movie. Rakesh Dhawan wrote the screenplay.
