Rajiv Rai has blasted the makers of *Dhurandhar The Revenge* over the use of *Oye Oye*, calling it theft and questioning the industry’s creativity. The controversy has now escalated into a legal and creative battle over consent, legacy and remix culture.
Filmmaker Rajiv Rai is reportedly taking legal action against the makers of Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming film. The director claims that the iconic Saat Samundar beats from his 1992 blockbuster were used without his permission in the film’s announcement promo.
In what can only be described as a catastrophic day at the box office, two legendary 90s directors, Suneel Darshan and Rajiv Rai, have seen their respective comeback films, Andaaz 2 and Zora, open to virtually no audience. The disastrous opening reflects a complete disconnect with today’s viewers.
Rajiv Rai makes a comeback with Zora, a fast-paced crime thriller featuring 40 new faces. It will release by this year’s end.
