Diwali weekend was expected for all new releases as small films struggled and bigger one performed fabulously.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ started very low with 48 lacs but did witness some growth in Saturday with 1.08 cr nett number. The movie witnessed festive drop and collected 91 lacs on Sunday. The movie collected 2.47 cr nett over weekend which was way below par considering reviews and holiday period.
Film took advantage of holiday on Monday and collected 3.19 cr nett. Film added 2.85 cr nett and 1.63 cr nett on following two days. The movie has 6 day total of 10.14 cr nett and now 2nd weekend will be crucial for the film as it needs to cross 30 cr nett lifetime. InS order to come out as a plus film which looks tough at the moment.
‘Made In China’ was on bottom out of all new releases as far as trending was concerned. The movie collected 1.10 cr nett on Friday, 1.60 cr nett on Saturday and 1.30 cr nett on Sunday. Made In China has collected 4 cr nett over weekend which was below par. Film added 2.75 cr nett on Monday, 1.75 cr nett on Tuesday and 1.20 cr nett on Wednesday. Film has 6 day total of 8.70 cr nett and will struggle to cross 18 cr nett lifetime. will be struggling in days to come.
Both these films got 2200 screens between them and what they managed is 18-20 cr nett in 6 days that too with one national holiday. A usual non holiday release would had been a better result.
