Alia Bhatt And Sharvari’s Alpha Earns Rs 42.80 Crore Nett In India, Tuesday Jump Takes Worldwide Total To Rs 71.66 Crore

After a solid opening weekend and a sharp Monday correction, Alpha managed a small but meaningful box office rebound on Tuesday. The Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-led action thriller added Rs 4.30 crore nett on its fifth day after Monday’s Rs 4 crore, taking its five-day India total to Rs 42.80 crore nett and its worldwide gross to Rs 71.66 crore. That lift came with Tuesday ticket offers, giving the film a needed push just as its weekday hold came under pressure.

The significance of the Tuesday number lies less in the size of the jump and more in what it says about the film’s immediate box office pulse. After the post-weekend drop, Alpha needed weekday stability, and Tuesday delivered a modest correction instead of another slide. For a film carrying franchise expectations and star-led buzz, that gave exhibitors and trade watchers a clearer sense that the title still has enough traction to keep its first-week run on stable ground.

Tuesday Offers Give Alpha A Midweek Push

The current trend shows a film that opened with intent, lost speed after Sunday, and then found temporary support through discounted pricing. At this point, Alpha stands at Rs 64.25 crore gross in India and Rs 71.66 crore gross worldwide. Those numbers keep it in active play commercially, even if the run has shifted from breakout mode to a more measured box office journey.

That distinction matters because Alpha did not arrive as a modest release. Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the 2026 Hindi action thriller stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, and expands the YRF Spy Universe through a female-led action narrative. The film follows a trained operative who is forced to confront buried truths about her past and join hands with her estranged sister against the man who turned her into a weapon.

Inside Alpha’s Positioning

During the film’s promotional campaign, Alia Bhatt described its core dynamic by saying, “It is really about two women at the heart of a big action spectacle.” That line captured the film’s pitch cleanly. Alpha was sold not just as another spy-universe extension, but as a star vehicle built around two women driving a large-scale commercial action story, a space Hindi cinema still approaches far less often than male-led franchise spectacles.

Where Alpha Fits In Alia Bhatt’s Current Career Chapter

That is also why Alpha matters in Alia Bhatt’s present career phase. Over the last few years, she has moved between large theatrical titles and platform-facing projects with unusual ease, from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Jigra to her Netflix Hollywood debut Heart of Stone. In 2022 alone, she balanced the prestige of Gangubai Kathiawadi, the event scale of RRR, and the streaming success of Darlings. Alpha extends that pattern, placing her inside a branded action universe while still positioning her at the centre of the film’s identity. Her next confirmed theatrical release is Love & War, currently scheduled for 2027.
