Ayushmann Khurrana’s much-anticipated film Anek is due to hit theatres today (May 28), following Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. Following their 2015 blockbuster Article 15, this is Ayushmann’s second collaboration with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha.
Anek starts with poor numbers and actually it’s shocking to see almost washout numbers.
The film is released in 1200 screens all over country but it might struggle to cross 2 cr nett on day one and reviews are also average so big jumps will be tough over weekend.
Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun Maverick is also struggling on day one and will find very tough at box office with lower than 2.5 cr nett on day one.
Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will cross 5 cr nett and can go past higher numbers depending on evening shows.
Anek is a film about an undercover spy on a mission to restore peace in India’s north-eastern area. The film, according to the trailer, is about identity politics and turmoil in the North East.
