Samrat Prithviraj is a huge period drama starring Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood and backed by YRF.
In last two days, few states have given it tax free status and top leaders of country have come out in open to support it but that has not been translated in numbers.
Samrat Prithviraj still found few takers on day one with poor opening of 25% and needs big jump tomorrow or Sunday.
The film released in 3750 screens in India and 1200 screens overseas which is massive release.
As per early trends, film might struggle to cross 11.50-12 cr nett on day one which is massively disappointing as minimum 15 cr nett opening was needed for film of such scale.
If film jumps less than 40% tomorrow then there is not much hope as film is rather weak in metros.
The film has to cross minimum 50 cr nett over weekend for any chance of fair lifetime result.

Samrat Prithviraj, previously named Prithviraj, stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, and Sakshi Tanwar, and introduces ex-Miss World Manushi Chhillar. It is produced by Aditya Chopra of YRF. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 3rd.
