Samrat Prithviraj has sold less than satisfactory tickets in advance and the film is looking for a slow start at the box office. The film will open in excess of 9 cr nett but below 11 cr nett unless something dramatic happens here onwards.
Makers and stars are trying their best to ensure some sort of opening for the film at any cost as YRF is coming out of strings of washout (Bunty aur Babli 2 & Jayeshbhai Jordaar) and Akshay Kumar is coming after disaster Bachchhan Paandey.
Political allies to tax-free status, every ploy is out there in open to push numbers.
The ultimate test of the film will be Monday as most of these tactics will exhaust by then after the weekend.
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directed Samrat Prithviraj. Samrat Prithviraj, previously named Prithviraj, stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, and Sakshi Tanwar, and introduces ex-Miss World Manushi Chhillar. It is produced by Aditya Chopra of YRF. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 3rd.
