Since its release, Pushpa has had another successful day at the box office. While the Telugu version wreaked havoc by breaking the 40 crore mark on its first day, the Hindi version has surprised with a consistent showing on a day-by-day basis, something that is far more difficult for a major to achieve.
On Sunday, the film grossed an additional 4 crores, a significant rise over the previous Saturday. This isn’t all; it also compares favourably to the first Sunday, when 5.56 crores were collected. Of course, given the film’s performance since its premiere, there was hope that it would have a second Sunday that was as successful as the first. However, the fact that the Allu Arjun starrer had already established its momentum on the first weekend must be taken into account, as the second-week number cannot be expected to be on par with the first.
With 36.95 crores in its bank account, the film is on track to break the 40 crore mark by Wednesday, if not sooner. Because the coming week is also a season of multiple partial holidays, Pushpa will easily surpass the 50 crore milestone before the end of the year.
