The wait is finally over as KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt have finally hit the theatres today. The film has already overtaken the Hindi markets in terms of advance bookings. Since its announcement, it has gotten some of the best buzz for a film, and the best part is that it isn’t induced, but rather organic.
KGF 2 has opened to 80% occupancy. The single screens of the movie are packed housefull from Bihar to Gujarat. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the second Chapter to release and it is now making all the noise that was expected.
Even the Multiplexes started shows as early as 3-4-5 am and everything ran to capacity which is unbelievable. The opening day record of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War and Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs Of Hindostan are in danger with 45-50 cr nett number on the cards.
The sequel to the 2018 smash KGF: Chapter 1, directed by Prashanth Neel, is KGF: Chapter 2. The first film grossed a total of 250 crores worldwide. Given the growing popularity of the series outside of Karnataka and the lack of major releases, the sequel is projected to easily surpass this figure. Rocky (Yash), a smuggler who tries to take over the gold mining empire in Kolar Gold Fields, stars in KGF. Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj also star in the film.
