Generally, when more than one big-ticket Hindi film are released on the same day, the shows of already running films, especially those in regional languages, are curtailed. But the opposite has happened with Hemant Dhome’s Marathi movie Jhimma, which was released on 19 November.

Helmed by Hemant Dhome Jhimma made an outstanding statement at the box office despite having 50% occupancy and strong competition in Bollywood, the film get a massive response from the audience. The film has collected 10.48 cr in four weeks.

Week 1: ₹ 2.98 cr
Week 2: ₹ 2.85 cr
Week 3: ₹ 2.61 cr
Week 4: ₹ 2.04 cr
Total: ₹ 10.48 cr

The film has successfully brought the Maharashtra audience back to cinemas and it is also ruling the Box Office despite having n number of big Bollywood films at the Box Office.
