EXCLUSIVE Box Office Report: Rajkummar Rao & Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do slows down considerably

The film did quite well in its first four days, but the numbers haven't been particularly encouraging since then.

Badhaai Do will benefit from the lack of a major Bollywood release this week, bringing in additional revenue before Gangubai Kathiawadi arrives next Friday. However, if the current pattern is any indicator, don’t expect a significant increase in collections. The film did quite well in its first four days, but the numbers haven’t been particularly encouraging since then.

This was again seen on Friday, when only Rs. 0.70 crores were received. The collections should have ideally been the same as Thursday’s, which were Rs. 0.81 crores, albeit even that would have been inadequate. During the second weekend, though, it would have signalled some form of trend growth for the Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar movie. The film had a strong opening weekend, with a strong showing on Saturday and a second showing on Sunday. Even if anything similar occurs this weekend in terms of percentage increases, the absolute numbers will remain modest.

Today’s collections are expected to surpass Rs. 1 crore, with tomorrow’s expected to reach Rs. 1.5 crores, allowing the film to surpass the Rs. 13.30 crores already gathered. However, the film will have four more days to play until the Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt blockbuster comes on February 25th.
