Exclusive Box Office Report: RRR makers splash worldwide gross numbers to maintain the hype, performance in Hindi remains sluggish

According to reports in the media, Rajamouli's film nett roughly Rs 19 crores on its first day in Hindi.

On March 25, SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, was released. Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt also star in the film. Fans were eager to see the film since there was a lot of buzz about it before it was released, and it was well promoted.

According to reports in the media, Rajamouli’s film nett roughly Rs 20.07 cr nett on its first day in Hindi. Only advance bookings helped the film bring in Rs 8 crore. The film’s first-day revenues astounded everyone, since it was the second-best after Sooryavanshi, which earned Rs 26.11 crore on its first day.

However, when the films are compared to the director’s superhit Baahubali: The Conclusion, which was released in 2017, the collections are significantly lower. Baahubali: The Conclusion grossed Rs 41 crore on its first day in Hindi.

When we look at a film’s international box office, it appears to be a smash hit, but when the RRR makers provide worldwide gross data to keep the buzz going, the film’s performance in Hindi remains sluggish.

Rajamouli returns with ‘RRR,’ following a five-year hiatus. The Telugu-language epic period action film stars Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris, and Shriya Saran among the international cast members.
