Actor Nikhil Siddhartha’s mystical action adventure film Karthikeya 2 has joined the top Telugu grosser at the USA box office in 2022. The movie is having a sensational run at the domestic as well as overseas box office, becoming a huge blockbuster.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, “Karthikeya 2” has crossed the coveted $1 million gross mark in the USA, becoming the 9th Telugu movie in 2022 to achieve the feat. The last film to reach the milestone was Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur’s recently released blockbuster “Sita Ramam”, which has so far grossed $1.22 million over there.
Karthikeya 2 reached the $1 million mark in the USA on Sunday, taking just 9 days to get there. It has earned $1.02 million so far, which is the highest ever for Nikhil’s film. SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, which stormed the worldwide box office earlier this year, is the second highest-grossing Telugu movie in the USA, grossing $14.34 million in its initial run.
Apart from the aforementioned films, “Bheemla Nayak” ($2.43M), “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” ($2.34M), “Radhe Shyam” ($2.07M), “F3” ($1.27M), “Major” ($1.14M), and “Ante Sundaraniki” ($1.13M) have reached $1 million mark this year for Telugu movies.
