Tadap was released around 1600 screens and with major centres running around 50% occupancy, there was uphill task for newcomer film to score at box office.

But contrary to ‘Bandra-juhu’ industry people’s expectations, Pritam’s hit music has lead the way and film scored with 4.05 cr nett on Friday. Film is almost similar to day one of Salman Khan starrer Antim and better than John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2.
As per early trends, film should register slim growth on day two especially from evening shows onwards. Advance is good and youth is excited for the film. Film collected 4.12 cr nett on day two. Film has 2- day total of 8.17 cr nett and then it should grow substantially today for a healthy weekend of around 14 cr nett.

Bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, Tadap is the remake of the 2018 released Telugu film RX 100. The film had gone on floors back in April 2019, but due to covid protocols, the production got delayed.
