Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer JugJugg Jeeyo was released in excess of 3300 screens in Hindi and it received glowing reviews from ‘so called’ critics but that didn’t translate to opening numbers on day one.
The film opened to dismal numbers of 25% and that is shocking considering amount of promotion & noise around the film made by makers. It was below average everywhere except Delhi/NCR and from here it needs big improvement to score even a respectable total on day one.
JJJ’s too urban appeal kept masses away which proved crucial for all hit films post pandemic and absence of one big chartbuster also had hit the film big time. As per early trends, film should collect 9.28 cr nett number and that too after film did improved big time from evening onwards.
The film has uphill task tomorrow and day after as anything less than 40-42 cr nett will be a failure for such a big film.
JJJ is directed by Raj Mehta and is bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. The film features an ensemble cast that includes, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor along with Manish Paul and YouTube sensation, Prajakta Koli, who will be making her Bollywood debut.
