Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam was released in theatres on August 5th and opened to decent opening day collections. Despite the low buzz around the film due to its parallel release with Bimbisara, Sita Ramam kept improving with each passing day.
Sita Ramam proved that if the content in the film is good then the audiences will readily come to the theatres to watch the film. The sparkling chemistry between Dulquer and Mrunal, the gorgeous visuals and Hanu Raghavapudi’s splendid direction helped the film massively.
It has been over 4 weeks since the release and it has still managed to maintain pace at the box office. Sita Ramam has posted 83 crores in gross collections, becoming the highest ever grosser for Dulquer Salmaan, beating Kurup and Mahanati worldwide.
Film released in Hindi on 2nd September by Jayantilal Gada (Pen India) and had tight limited urban multiplex centric release.Today film should collect around 75-80 lacs nett as India Pakistan cricket match will affect evening shows onwards.
Film collected 30 lacs nett on day one which was not great or bad as there was hardly any publicity. Film jumped on day two and collected 70 lacs nett with two day total of 1 cr nett.
Still a good 1.75 cr nett weekend is on the card and it can cross 3-4 cr nett lifetime before Brahamastra releases which will be a fair result.
