Honsla Rakh shattered box office records by becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time, grossing 2.55 crore nett across India, surpassing Shadaa’s 2.43 crore nett. The collections in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh broke all previous records.
In Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the film grossed 66 lakhs net. This is about nine times what has previously been witnessed for a Punjabi film, and this includes films released prior to the pandemic. It has set a new aim in Delhi/UP, although this may be a one-time occurrence, as it is improbable that a Punjabi film can be released in this manner in Delhi city while Hindi films are also being shown. Rajasthan received an additional 6 lakhs nett, while other circuits received an additional 7-8 lakhs nett.

As an urban Punjabi film, Honsla Rakh should continue its great run as Delhi city. Overall, it is expected to do well, but how well it does will depend on where it settles after the Dusshera vacation in Punjab, particularly in smaller towns. The major cities will almost certainly do brisk business.
Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, and Shehnaaz Gill play in the key roles of Honsla Rakh. Shinda Grewal, Gippy Grewal’s son also stars in the film. They shot the film early this year in Canada. Honsla Rakh is Diljit Dosanjh’s first film as a producer, directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. Under his Story Time Productions banner, he is supporting the picture. Rakesh Dhawan wrote the screenplay.
