Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starer Laxmii released on the screaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on November 9, 2020. Many filmmakers have taken OTT platforms to release their films, due to the lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, theatres had been shut since March.
Akshay Kumar’s Laxmii also made its digital debut in India. However, the film released in theatres overseas [U.A.E, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji] following limited capacity.
Looking at the box office collection from the overseas territories we can see a downfall in the numbers.
With 49 screens Australia box office collected 10,449 USD [Rs. 7.78 lacs]. While in New Zealand box office the film generated 9,186 USD [Rs. 6.84 lacs] from 29 screens.
The film is directed by Raghava Lawrence and also features Sharad Kelkar, Rajesh Sharma, Ayesha Mishra, Manu Rishi Chadha and Ashwini Kalsekar.
