Aamir Khan starrer films are always an event as he always comes after a considerable amount of gap and this time he is back after four years or so.
His upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ cult Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump and Kareena Kapoor to Naga Chaitanya are top lining the cast of the film.
It’s widely known that Shah Rukh Khan to many big names will be seen in a cameo appearance in the film.
The film is facing some big obstacles-
*Clash with Akshay Kumar starrer RakshaBandhan which seems like the mass-friendly film.
*A lot of Boycott trending by section of netizens against Aamir Khan – Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The film has the following things going for it-
*Exclusive deal with biggest multiplex giant PVR – INOX which will ensure 65-70% premium shows in premium urban properties in this box office clash.
*Laal Singh Chaddha will NOT be out on OTT for 6 months and that gives the audience some sort of urgency to watch this film only in cinemas.
*The film will have huge numbers in the North, especially in Delhi, Punjab and UP due to the theme of the film.
Going by the above factors, it seems that LSC should open around 16-16.50 cr net on opening day at least which will give it a good platform to grow as the film has a 4- a day weekend followed by a big national holiday on Monday.
We will update this number by little once we have the exact screen size available but this will be the range of opening.
Now fans of other actors and so-called trade experts are welcome to hurl adjectives at us but better come back and check on 12th August!
