Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master released across the globe. On its first day, the film collected 1.21 crore at the box office in Chennai. Considering that the theaters occupancy is now only 50 percentage, this is a huge amount overall.
Even in Tamil Nadu, the film managed to grab a spot in the top 4 opening day grossers.
Not just this, Vijay’s film is also taking over Telugu market by receiving outstanding response from the audience as well as critics.
Master got an impressive start in Australia and New Zealand as well. In Australia, the film has grossed approximately Rs 1.4 core (AUD 265,00) and is going strong.
The total gross collection of the film on it’s first day was Rs 42 crore.
On day 2, the movie made Rs 23.5 crore plus (Rs 19 crore nett).
The film is expected to run smoothly till Sunday. The real test will come with the collection Master gives on Monday. Although the film is definitely a hit at the box office given the pandemic condition.
The two day gross collections stand at Rs 65.5 crore plus.
