Jr NTR‘s latest film, Devara, has had a rocky start at the box office but is making a strong comeback thanks to the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.
Released on September 27, 2024, the action drama started with a bang but has faced mixed reviews, impacting its momentum. However, the Hindi version of the film has performed well, especially on the holiday.
Devara kicked off with an impressive Rs 7.95 crore on its opening day, marking the eighth-highest opening of 2024 for a Hindi film.
The first weekend saw a steady increase in collections, bringing in Rs 9.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.07 crore on Sunday.
Yet, as the week progressed, the numbers dipped, typical for many films after their debut.
Devara Jumps Huge On Day 6 Due To National Holiday, Nears Rs 50 Cr Mark
On Gandhi Jayanti, Devara experienced a significant boost, with collections rising nearly 50% from the previous day. On its first Wednesday, the film added Rs 7.15 crore, bringing its six-day total to Rs 45.87 crore.
This was a notable jump from the Rs 4.80 crore earned on Tuesday. The film is now just Rs 4.13 crore away from the Rs 50 crore milestone, which it is expected to achieve soon.
