Dhurandhar The Revenge Day One Box Office Collection: Sequel Smashes All Time Opening Day Record As Ranveer Singh Hits Rs 125 Crore In India Including Previews

Ranveer Singh has just rewritten the Hindi box office record books, and he has done it with the kind of thunderous opening that instantly changes the conversation around “biggest openers.” Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge opened to a staggering Rs 125 crore in India on Day 1 when paid previews are included, delivering what is being positioned as the biggest opening day ever for a Hindi feature film.

The film’s Day 1 performance has been powered by an explosive start in paid previews, followed by packed shows through the day, with late-night and unconventional timings also seeing heavy footfalls as exhibitors accommodated demand with round-the-clock screenings in several pockets.

Day 1 Box Office Update: Dhurandhar The Revenge Takes A Historic Start

As per early trends shared in the trade update, Dhurandhar The Revenge collected Rs 41 crore in paid previews and was tracking in the Rs 80 to Rs 82 crore range for Day 1 proper, taking its total to around Rs 122 – 125 crore for the opening day in India including previews. The update also notes that even if previews are removed from the tally, the film still lands north of Rs 80 crore for Day 1, another benchmark-level number.

The same update frames the opening as an all-time record for Hindi cinema, stating that the film has gone past the previous top openers, including Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan. With Dhurandhar The Revenge now setting the pace for the weekend, the next few days will decide how far this momentum travels, but the headline has already been claimed: a new all-time opening day record.

Day 1: 78 crore

Overseas:

Day 1: 80 crore

Worldwide:

Ranveer Singh now holds the record of the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi Cinema, and can successfully be termed the box office juggernaut, as more records are coming his way in the days to come. The film is headed to record the biggest opening weekend and also the biggest lifetime of all time, and it’s the first time that an actor will have the top 2 films of all time under his name in a span of just 3 months.

Film will smash some more records in next three days. The film should hold strongly tomorrow as advances are already fantastic. Being day before the Eid holiday will help with the night shows, it could be so that the film hardly drops. Then there is a big holiday for Eid on Saturday, and it is that day when the Hindi circuits will be on board, and several new benchmarks will be set. At the very least, the film should collect Rs. 325 crore nett in its extended weekend. On the high end, it should blow over Rs. 350 crore nett, potentially approaching Rs. 375 crore nett.
