Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi‘s Do Deewane Sehar Mein and Taapsee Pannu‘s courtroom drama Assi are facing tough competition at the box office. On the third day of the release, the earnings of both films were almost equal, which made the competition more interesting. On the first day of release, Do Deewane Seher Mein earned Rs 1.60 crore at the box office which was more than Assi which collected Rs 1 crore on the opening day.
Film grew on day two but growth was muted and far below what was required after poor opening. Film added 1.60 crore net on day two and 1.25 crore on day three as big India cricket match caused the drop.
Film has 3 – day total of 4.15 crore net and it will not add much from here with single digit lifetime box office number in the cards.
