Mohanlal’s box office grip in Kerala is refusing to loosen. Fifteen days into its theatrical run, Drishyam 3 has powered past another major milestone, reaffirming the franchise’s rare hold over the home market and giving Malayalam cinema one of its strongest local performers of the year.
The crime drama has collected Rs 82 crore gross in Kerala in 15 days, after adding Rs 19.15 crore gross through its second week. Its second Thursday brought in Rs 1 crore, taking the running total to Rs 81.85 crore, rounded off to the Rs 82 crore mark. With that, the Mohanlal starrer has entered the list of the seven highest grossing Malayalam films of all time at the Kerala box office.
Drishyam 3 Beats Aadujeevitham In Kerala
The latest landmark is significant because Drishyam 3 has now gone past Aadujeevitham, which had closed its Kerala run at Rs 79.30 crore gross. That jump places the Jeethu Joseph directorial in elite company and keeps it firmly in the race for an even bigger finish in the state.
The film’s day-wise trend shows how strongly it opened before settling into a steady weekday rhythm. After an Rs 11 crore opening day, Drishyam 3 maintained major momentum across its first week and continued to pull audiences in week two. The third weekend now becomes crucial, especially with new Malayalam releases entering theatres and competing for screens.
