Salman Khan release always comes with huge expectations and that too if it’s 3rd part of successful franchise. ‘Dabangg 3’ released this week worldwide.
Film has received decent to good reviews and that helped the opening numbers. Film has rather tepid music and pre release buzz was poor too. Going by advances, 11 cr number was even lower than ‘Saaho’ and previous Salman Khan films. Film was affected by protests around the country especially in mass centers.
‘Dabangg 3’ collected 23 cr nett on day one and including south 24.50 cr nett which is not bad but not great either. It was supposed to get close to 30 cr nett mark in order to cross 95-100 cr nett in 1st Weekend. Even on 2nd day film witnessed up and down trend all day plus protests around the country dented the film further.
Film collected 24.75 cr nett on day two and two day total of 49.25 cr nett. Film will collect at best 73-75 cr nett over weekend. With only one week of clear run, it will be struggle for its lifetime number!
