Today Dharma Production’s ‘Selfiee’ released starring Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, Nushrat and cameo by Mrunal Thakur. Film is directed by Raj Mehta who directed ‘Good News’ and ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’.
As reported by us last night, film had very low advance bookings though many thought it was due to late opening of advances on Thursday morning.
Following are the advances at Thursday midnight for Friday in national chains:

Total: 8200 tickets
If you see this in perspective, ‘Bhediya’ (7 cr nett plus day one) sold 27.9 k tickets in advance and ‘Doctor G’ had around 18k tickets (3.87 cr nett on day one).
Today day one opening was shockingly low as film opened to 8-10% occupancy. Film might struggle to cross 3.5-4 cr nett unless there is dramatic turnaround. It will need excellent word of mouth and massive jump to avoid inevitable outcome at box office.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan Continued To Flourish:
YRF’s record breaking action entertainer ‘Pathaan’ from Spy Universe continues to hold fort at box office. Film has crossed 502.10 cr nett in Hindi in 4 weeks and today film is playing in national chains at 110 INR again.
As per early trends, film should cross 1.20-1.30 cr nett today with little growth over yesterday’s numbers and again big jumps will be in offering over 5th weekend. If film can cross 5 cr nett then film is certain to cross 7 cr nett in 5th week. Only 3 cr nett more needed in 6th week then for surpassing 511 cr nett target of ‘Baahubali 2’.
