Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to release his latest movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in theatres on July 28, 2023, which means it hits the screens tomorrow. The film features popular actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the lead pair and is produced by Dharma Productions. Advance Booking Report: In National Chains For Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
Advance bookings for the film started on Monday, and on the first day itself, the movie managed to sell 13,000 tickets. The following day, Tuesday, this number rose to 16,740, and by Wednesday, it reached an impressive 29,375 tickets sold. Film ended Thursday, the film has sold a total of 80,500 tickets for day one. The movie seems to be generating significant interest among the audience, and its ticket sales are witnessing a positive trend, raising expectations for a successful run at the box office.

Box Office Prospects: Anticipation High for Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani Opening After Recent Genre Hits
Recently, there have been a few films in the same genre that have performed well at the box office. Among them is Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which had an advance booking of 22,000 tickets and managed to achieve a notable opening of 5.49 crore. Another film, Satya Prem ki Katha, had an even higher advance booking of 57,000 tickets and secured an impressive opening of 9.25 crore.
Now, the focus is on the upcoming release, Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani, which has already sold 50,500 tickets in advance booking. Film sold 80,500 ticket sales by the end of the day. Runtime And Certification Details Of The Film Is Out
The official runtime of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is 168.33 minutes long which means it’s roughly around 2 hours, 48 min, and 33 sec long. While the duration is quite long, it’s normal for a Karan Johar film which is known for telling long and immersive stories. The film has a UA certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on 19 July. Ahead of the release, the film has already recovered 90% of its production budget. Made on a production budget of 160 crore, a further 18 crore was spent on print & publicity for the film.
This takes the total Cost of Production (CoP) of the film to a staggering 178 crore. It has received 80 crores for its digital rights from Amazon Prime Video and 50 crores for its satellite rights by Colors channel. Another 30 crores has come from the sale of its music rights to Saregama. In total, the recovery cost stands at 160 crore so far.
