Exclusive: Ajay Devgn Starrer Bholaa Crosses 87 Cr Nett India Riding On Good 3rd Week, Set To Cross 90 Cr Nett Lifetime

Ajay Devgn Starrer ‘Bholaa’ released in middle of lot of expectations as film was heavily promoted. Film had a wide release all over and it was remake of hit film ‘Kaithi’. Film neither opened big nor trended very well as it jumped by strictly average percentage over weekend.

Film disappointed in day one as it collected average 11.20 cr nett despite Ram Navami holiday. Film failed to beat 10 year old day one number of Ajay Devgn Starrer ‘Himmatwala’ which itself was a disaster. Film dropped further and collected poor 7.40 cr nett on day two. Drop was expected as it was working day but it was little more than expectations.

Film was expected to jump and that’s what happened. Film jumped by 20% in morning and afternoon which is a good sign. Film held strong throughout on Saturday and crossed 12.10 cr nett on day three. Film again jumped on Sunday by 12% and collected 13.48 cr nett.

After weekend of 44.28 cr nett, film was expected to hold on Monday but film dropped badly. Film added less than 15.70 cr nett on weekdays despite holiday advantage. Film collected 59.98 cr nett in week one. This was below par performance for Ajay Devgn starrer and now it is bound to finish less than 100 cr nett of ‘Shivaay’, previous directorial venture of Ajay.

Film crossed 12.66 cr nett in 2nd weekend which is big 70% drop from 1st extended weekend of 4 days. ‘Bholaa’ crossed 18.51 cr nett in 2nd week which is shame considering holiday advantage on 2nd Friday. Film dropped by 69% in 2nd week.

Film again got advantage of Ambedkar Jayanti on 3rd Friday and collected 1.75 cr nett. Film again added similar numbers 2.20 cr nett on 3rd Saturday followed 2.50 cr nett by today on 3rd Sunday. Film collected 6.45 cr nett weekend which is decent. Film added 3.65 cr nett on weekdays in 3rd week. Film crossed 9 cr nett in 3rd week.

Film has total of 87.59 cr nett after 3 weeks. But overall picture remains bleak and it can’t change the verdict as film will fall short of 90 cr nett lifetime.
