Shaitaan, the much-awaited horror thriller starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika and Janki Bodiwala, released today and it promises to be a nerve-racking ride. Film’s trailer got good reception and it’s a much awaited release as dull period at box office needed some momentum.
The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, tells the story of a family that unwittingly invites a sinister stranger into their home, who unleashes a series of terrifying events involving dark forces and evil spirits. The film brings together powerhouse talents and promises a thrilling experience like never before. It’s an official remake of Gujarati film Vash.
Shaitaan Takes Solid Opening
Ajay Devgn starrer Shaitaan took solid opening today and is growing with each show. Film has already crossed 3.92 crore nett in national chins by 2 pm which is fantastic number. As per early trends, film will cross 14 crore nett on day one all India and it has outside chances to cross 15crore nett depending on night shows.

PVR + Inox: 2.90 cr
Cinepolis: 1.02 cr
Total: 3.92 crore nett
A good jump over the weekend will ensure 45 – 50 crore nett which means a hit film on cards.
Fantastic Trends Of Advance Booking Of Shaitaan
Advance booking for Ajay Devgn starrer Shaitaan started on Sunday. Film took a slow start but still managed to score good advances in last two days. As of midnight of Thursday, film has sold 59,000 tickets in PVR & Inox And 22,000 tickets in Cinepolis. With total 81,500 tickets in national chains, film is certain to cross double digit numbers on day one.
