Exclusive Box Office Report: Arjun Kapoor & John Abraham starrer Ek Villain Returns crosses 65 cr worldwide gross & 41 cr nett domestic, a musical hit

Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria starrer sequel Ek Villain Returns had very good numbers in week one in India as well as in overseas and film has followed that with decent numbers in 2nd weekend.

The film started well with 7 cr nett plus opening on day one and then with slim growths over weekend, it collected 23.54 cr nett and this was good result considering mixed reviews.

Then film managed to hold on with fair numbers on weekdays though drop did happen on Monday and Thursday.

Ek Villain Returns had total of 32.92 cr nett in 1st week and then film held strongly on 2nd Friday as it managed to score close to Thursday numbers as there was no competition from new releases. Film collected 1.50 cr nett on 2nd Friday and then jumped on 2nd Saturday. Film scored 2 cr nett on 2nd Saturday with 25-30-% growth followed by 2.75 cr nett on Sunday with slim growth. After 6.25 cr nett 2nd weekend, film collected 1 cr nett on 2nd Monday which is 35% drop from 2nd Friday.

The film has 11-day total of 40.17 cr nett. Film should cross 43 cr nett by Wednesday and that will be more or less the lifetime as both biggies will arrive on Thursday.

This Arjun Kapoor starrer has overseas collections in range of 1 million $ and its a success there too with superb numbers in UK. The film has worldwide gross of 65 cr and that’s a fab total in post pandemic times.

Starring an ensemble cast including John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria, Ek Villain Returns released worldwide on 29th July 2022. The movie is directed by Mohit Suri and jointly produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms.
